la la la lola...or not

well, thanks to everyone to "weighed in" on my issue. it looks like it might've all been in vain, however, because my husband, who apparently thinks he is the president of the united states, has pretty much vetoed the winning name. he seems to think our baby should be hispanic if she were to be called lola. all of my arguments have fallen on deaf ears i'm afraid. so, back to the drawing board as it were. nora is still in the running, but now i'm wondering if there is an even perfecter...more perfect? name out there that i just haven't been introduced to yet. sigh...what to do? anywho, thanks again and we'll see what happens.

ps does anyone happen to know any songs with hand motions besides the itsy bitsy spider and popcorn popping? i'm pretty sure we sing each of them right around a thousand times a day.

boo! And Liam had to be Irish. Tell Andy "Dude, I hate to say it, but actually, you're full of it" for me. :)

Well, darn! I liked that name. Can we just call her Lola anyway, even if you name her something else? Just kidding. What ever you pick will be great. Good luck!

Hey Tara. If you saw my blog about Christmas, you saw that Taj performed one of his favorite fingerplays for the family program. I'll send you an email with the video. And more. :)

There's always the wheels on the bus song, but you probably already do that. I don't know if you already know 'this little light of mine,' 'father abraham,' or 'the wise man and foolish man' songs, but if not, I could teach them to you. :)

We always loved 5 Little Speckled Frogs. I did teacher preschoolers before I had my own crew and sang it tons!

Oh yeah...the Alligator one was 5 Little Monkeys Swinging in a Tree...the wee ones always loved when the aliigator would snap those monkeys from the tree. Kinda morbid huh?

"If you're happy and you know it" is one Jonah likes too. It always helps me to have some variety so as not to go crazy. Hope it's helping you!
